This month's issue of Insights highlights new work.
My annual exhibit unveils new work for the first time, in the studio/gallery it was created in, and I discuss my work publicly. If you can't make it, you can see many of the images online. One series will be displayed exclusively online - Fumo.
The Gallery section of my website has recently been updated. It now contains an online gallery of images. Two new portable PDF galleries have been added - Suffusion and Fumo. Two other portable PDF galleries have been updated - Antarctica 2007 and Exhalation.
One new artist's statement have been added - Fumo.
Voice has been added. Many people have commented that they enjoy hearing me speak about my work in my lectures, seminars, and workshops. Now you can hear me speak too - online.
One recent article on my work featured in AfterCapture magazine earlier this year has been added to the Library.

Put It In Writing
Writing helps clarify thought. Find the words to describe your images and you'll not only be able to make your work clearer to others, you'll understand it better yourself. Use one word, one phrase, one sentence, one paragraph, and one page. This sounds simpler than it is. Take the time you need to find the right words. The next time you find yourself called upon to describe your work, you'll have the words to do so at the tip of your tongue.

My annual exhibit unveils new work for the first time, in the studio/gallery it was created in, and I discuss my work publicly. If you can't make it, you can see many of the images online.
This event presents three exhibits in one; Antarctica - minimally-altered photographs produced on site, in Lightroom 1.0, most of which are suitable for journalistic use; Suffusion - highly-altered images produced from the same material at a later date in my studio, in Photoshop CS3; and Fumo - images shot in studio and later used to produce Suffusion, a body of work unto itself, produced in the beta version of Lightroom. This is the first time I've produced three very different but parallel bodies of work simultaneously in such a short time. This is a never before seen glimpse into my artistic process, which is clearly dynamic and evolving.
